Very rare. Only two sightings to date. Normally found breeding and wintering in far East Texas. Nocturnal, solitary, and shy. Distinguished from Wilson's Snipe by transverse color bars on crown, large eyes set far back for rearview binocular vision, and shorter legs. © Jay Capra
