Stilt Sandpiper and Long-billed Dowitcher

A stilt and a dowitcher feeding. Since the dowitcher has a much longer bill, it doesn't lean over as much as the stilt. Notice you can't see the stilt's face at all; it is under water. But the dowitcher (bird on the right) has its head only partially submerged. (Photo by LgPacker)
