Least Tern

Our smallest tern (9" from tip of bill to end of tail) breeds along large rivers inland and will relocate to tropical waters as far south as Brazil. Populations are endangered in many areas because of human impact on nesting areas, especially competition for use of beaches. (Photo by LgPacker)
