Red-tailed Hawk

Red-taileds are longer winged, shorter in length and lighter weight than a Great Horned Owl. Red-tails weigh approximately 2.4 lbs; Great Horneds weigh 3.1 lbs. So if I had bet on who would win the encounter...but we'll never know what happened. The hawk dropped behind the berm and the next thing we saw....(c) LgPacker
