Last year's chick fledged on July 17; the second chick on July 18. This year's single chick fledged July 18. With all the cooler, wetter weather this year, the late (in comparison) mating, I suspected the young would be late in fledging. But it looks like nature has a way of manipulating outcomes. © LgPacker
