Cooper's Hawk

Cooper's Hawks are bird-eaters. So when they show up in winter in our backyards, we tend to think of them as "bad" for eating our songbirds. But they also eat many small mammals such as squirrels, ground squirrels, mice, and chipmunks. (Photo by Andrew Lawry)
