The scheduled field trip to Lake Hamlin quickly turned into a chase for the Golden-crown Sparrow near Robert Lee since several members needed it for their life list. Two members added the sparrow to their life list, making for a successful chase. We then went back to Buffalo Gap, looking for but not finding the Red Crossbills.
